Why Ukraine’s government is afraid of ratification of the Rome Statute

The first talks since 2001 concerning the ratification of the Rome Statute have begun. Around 100 deaths in Maidan and the ‘hybrid war’ in East Ukraine torpedoed the discussion on the necessity to join the International Criminal Court.

Ukrainian MP from the Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc Vitaliy Kupriy speaks on whether the country is ready to do this.
