The winners of #FeelYourRights contest have visited the editorial office of Human Rights Information Center.

The prize winners became Ksenia Chubuk, Olha Kulyk, Bohdan Altynnyk, and Olena Tarasyk. Olena Tarasyk, unfortunately, could not come to us from another city, but she will surely receive her prize via post.

Ksenia is the investigative journalist, who managed to win the case against the corporation over eco-activism.

Olha is the PR manager of the AIDS Foundation East-West international charitable organization, the social worker dealing with teenagers.

Bohdan is the journalist of the INSIDER Ukrainian media outlet, Amnesty International volunteer.

The “human rights” is not a pathetic combination of words for our winners but quite a real thing.

It is very difficult but still possible to protect your rights. For this, you should primarily know what the human rights are. When I came across with the discriminatory situation with the bank, of course, I could change it to another. But I decided to gain comfortable servicing here and to remove discriminatory attitude to other customers,” Ksenia said.

All the participants received our branded bags and T-shirts and interesting literature on barrier-free environment. The winning authors got honoraria.

Having tea, coffee, and biscuits, we talked about our own experience in protecting rights, the importance of contacts between NGOs and journalists, and how it is cool to get our prizes.
