Festival of Equality: Fighting Discrimination through Art
The first Festival of Equality took place in Kyiv on December 13-16.
For four days, there were film screenings, photo exhibitions, workshops on creative forms of protest, debates, art workshops, and more. There were also openings of several photo exhibitions on various groups discriminated against in society: Roma, other ethnic minorities, and the LGBT community.
The festival also hosted a discussion on the lives of IDPs.
Festival organizers are convinced: it is possible (and necessary) to talk about discrimination through art and culture.
