Russian de facto authorities subjected another six Crimean Tatars, accused of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, to forced psychiatric examination.

Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov posted this on his Facebook page.

He reminded that lawyer Edem Smedlyaev had earlier said about the intention of Russian investigators to continue that practice.

Indeed, today, my client Vadym Siruk was given the resolution of the FSB investigator on subjecting him to forced inpatient psychiatric examination against six Crimean Tatar Muslims, including Siruk. All six are defendants in ‘the case of Hizb ut-Tahrir’, Aliyev, Siruk, Bekirov, Kuku, Alimov, Dzhepparov,” he said.

According to Kurbedinov, these Crimean Tatars supported Ilmi Umerov, who was previously subjected to compulsory examination.

They also believe that there is no legitimate reason for carrying out any psychiatric examinations, and this is done only for securing investigation. These actions of the investigators humiliate their honor and reputation,” he added.
