Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office submits to court case of hired thug, accused of abduction of Euromaidan activist

The Special Investigations Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has completed the investigation of the criminal proceedings against a hired thug suspected of complicity in abduction of Euromaidan activist during the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

It also indicates that the involvement of the accused in the sale of highly dangerous drugs was proved.

July 29, the indictment was submitted to the Desnianskyi District Court in Kyiv.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reminds that, according to the results of the investigation into the criminal proceedings over attacks of hired thugs on protesters and citizens, kidnapping of activists and torture, including those committed by members of the Oplot group led by Yevhen Zhilin, notices of suspicion were served against nine civilians, hired thugs, five of whom are wanted, three were sentenced to deprivation and restriction of freedom.

The pre-trial investigation against the organizers and perpetrators of the committed crimes, persons engaged in financing of this illegal activity is going on.
