Interpol refused in search of Arseniy “Motorola” Pavlov, who, according to numerous witnesses, killed the captured Donetsk airport defender Ihor Branovitskiy.

This was stated by the Deputy Chief of the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vitaliy Mayakov, reports the Human Rights Information Center correspondent.

“Interpol returned documents to us under the pretext of the political nature of Motorola’s case. We do not understand this. We consider Motorola, who, in front of witnesses, shot Branovitskiy, a suspect and there is a court decision on his arrest”, said Mayakov.

Interpol has refused Ukrainian requests in many similar cases, calling them political.

“I hope that cooperation with the international community will change this position”, he said.

Recall, in 2015 Ukraine appealed to Interpol with a request for an ad in a Russian wanted list. Arseny Pavlov came to the occupied Donbas and led the illegal armed formation “Sparta Battalion.” Earlier, he said he shot 15 prisoners soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces. Earlier, Amnesty International called for investigations into the killings that Motorola has confessed to.
