The Ukrainian side is currently not considering any documents to pardon Russian citizens for their further exchange for Ukrainian political prisoners.

Oleksandr Bukalov, the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Department for Pardon, said this at a briefing on Wednesday, Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports.

Currently, we are not considering such applications. They may appear when there is some kind of an arrangement. So far, we are unaware of such arrangements,” he said.

Bukalov said that “right now there are no proceedings in which we could pardon someone for further exchange.”

As known, the Ukrainian human rights activists claim that at least 29 Ukrainians, including 15 Crimean Tatars, are still held in custody in the Russian Federation after Nadiya Savchenko, Hennadiy Afanasyev and Yuri Soloshenko were released.

In June, representatives of the Ukrainian Justice Ministry said that Ukraine had sent Russia the requests for extradition of Ukrainian citizens Stanislav Klykh and Mykola Karpyuk.
