The chief of the maternity department of a district hospital in Kherson region demanded money from parents for saving the life of their baby.

This is reported by the press office of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The doctor demanded UAH 5,000 for obligatory medical care for mothers and newborns in need for primary care. Without the money, he refused to support the life of a weak baby and his mother, who was in serious postpartum.
