The volunteer initiative “Crimea.SOS” presented a video “Hear with the Heart,” which calls on Ukrainians to not to be indifferent to the IDPs and to not discriminate against them.

“The video will not intimidate you with scary shots, demand money, or tell you what you need to do. Not at all. It appeals to your heart. It really helps to think,” say the creators of the clip.

Svetlana Oleinikova, Community Development Advisor at “Crimea.SOS,” says that IDPs are discriminated against every day.

“With the increasing number of IDPs, this kind of intolerance is increasing. 80% of our entrepreneurs hide that they are displaced. As soon as their partners find out that the business is registered in Donetsk or Luhansk regions, or in Crimea, they cease cooperating without explanation. 30% our grantees were forced to re-register their business in other areas because of this,” said Oleinikova on the air at Hromadske Radio.

As of April 6th, 2015, according to the data of social protection departments of Kyiv and regional administrations, there are a reported 1,213,011 IDPs, including 892,161 families, from Donbass and Crimea.
