The Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have registered over 6,200 persons gone missing and abducted in the ATO area.

Adviser to the Interior Minister Ivan Varchenko announced this, the Human Rights Information Center correspondent reports.

The Interior Ministry has registered 3,900 persons gone missing and 2,300 facts of abduction and taking into captivity. The whereabouts of 4,700 people have been established, of whom 2,900 persons have gone missing and 1,800 have been abducted,” the official said.

According to him, nothing is known about 1,518 missing persons, of whom 967 are those gone missing and 542 are abducted persons.

The law enforcement officers also noted that 1,293 bodies were still unidentified, including nearly 600 dressed in camouflage.

The law enforcers have managed to identify only 340 bodies.

Varchenko notes that the Interior Ministry statistics may not coincide with the statistics of other law enforcement agencies as their data come under the open criminal proceedings.

As a reminder, in October, the human rights activists stated they had gathered evidence of the Donbas detainees for the ICC. According to them, the detainees were tortured and not provided with basic living conditions in the illegal places of detention in Donbas.
