Russian de facto authorities in Crimea ask tourists not to travel to the peninsula in the coming days.

 

This is stated on the site of the pro-Kremlin Kerch City Administration.

According to the statement, the Kerch Strait ferry line is working with ultimate load. Due to the large number of tourists the city, the administration is warning about possible queues at the Crimea-Caucasus Steamship Line at 10:00.

August 7, the Crimean Human Rights Group reported that a large amount of military equipment had arrived in Kerch from Russia via the ferry.

Early on August, 7, the Russian security services on the territory of the annexed Crimea without any reasons suspended the admission of vehicles and passengers on the peninsula.

August 8, the peninsula residents reported about establishing the road blocks all around Crimea. Later, it was reported that all those measures were taken in order to catch weaponed fugitives.

Chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration Andrei Gordeyev believes that the abovementioned events were related to ‘North Caucasus 2016’ Russian military exercises.
