Ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin will sue over ‘Scheme’ TV program journalists, who reported about his country seats and the ‘hidden life’.

Shokin told about this on the air of 112 TV channel.

I have already prepared a lawsuit against them,” Shokin said.

He stated that “it will be a very serious lawsuit.”

The lawsuit will be on initiating the criminal proceeding against people who completely falsified this story for money,” Shokin said.

They showed my tax return for 2014, but not the one for the period of 2013, where I had declared all I had that time. Moreover, they said nothing and did not show my explanation, I wrote for the State Fiscal Service… about how, when and where I got all my possessions, starting with apartments in Yaroslav Val Street, which I bought in 1995 by taking a loan. The house in Zaborie village is told to be concealed. But I declared it in the tax return for 2013,” he said.

According to Shokin, the journalists also did not report that he had been on retirement from February 19, 2007 till 2014.

I will be very happy if the National Anti-Corruption Bureau checks this,” Shokin said.

As reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has been checking the information about undeclared income of ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
