Verdict in case of Savchenko comes into force

The verdict, delivered in the case of Ukrainian pilot, MP Nadiya Savchenko in Russia on March 22, has come into force.

As reported, March 22, the Donetsk City Court of Rostov region of the Russian Federation found Savchenko guilty of the murder of two Russian journalists in Luhansk region. She was sentenced to 22 years in a colony. She refuses to lodge an appeal and intends to resume a dry hunger strike on April 6. Savchenko has been on hunger strike since last December.

Yesterday, Russian doctors stated that the health of Nadiya Savchenko allowed convoying her.
