What Ukraine is planning to do to stop HIV?

Today, Ukraine remains a leader in Europe not only for its revolutionary spirit, but also for the pace of the spread of HIV. According to the government service for the counteraction of HIV and AIDS, 11 people in Ukraine die everyday of the disease. If not treated, an HIV- positive person can infect up to ten people in a year, but with treatment, the risk of infecting others is lowered by 96%.
Today, because of the difficult economical situation and the high cost of treatment, HIV-positive infections will almost double. What government and non-government organizations are planning to do to deal with the problem – is the subject of our next report.
